For me, making things provides a grounding during turbulent times. Looking back, month by month, I thought I’d share some pictures of my process as well as the finished projects. Many have been shared in previous posts, but now they are presented together as the end-of-year reflection. Twenty twenty-two started with some soap-making, and then a few tiny photo collages, followed by lots of fragrant bundles, a batch of printed notecards, an adobe triptych, adding colorful fabric to the back gate, watercolors painted while on the water, more bundles and wands, marigold chains, weaving small tapestries on cholla branch looms in the fall season, a portrait of a favorite pet, and calendars for the year ahead. Ah— I am feeling grateful. The past few days here have been snowy and cozy— a welcome respite before gearing up for the new year.
