Sunflower Slalom

This year’s rains have brought a hearty crop of sunflowers and the finches are frequenting them. Tall stalks, dotted with an abundance of blooms, have crowded the back patio pathway so much so that one needs to weave between them. Most of these photo are sunflowers— at sunrise, during a rain storm, in the moonlight, and up at El Morro National Monument. I finished three landscape paintings for a show in Gallup at the ART123 Gallery. These paintings were inspired by memories from my sabbatical year trips to the Arctic, New Mexico, and the Amazon River. Other photos include a rainbow with a lightning strike, backyard bouquets, and the pups!
