May started with wild, warm winds and single digit humidity… and we’re ending the month with similar days. My seedlings are growing, but still inside— awaiting the final freeze date of June 6th, and waiting for the winds to subside. This final month of school has been full of activities and due dates, but I found some time to fulfill a special order of fragrant bundles for a friend. New notecards and postcards of some of my paintings and photographs are ready for the studio shop to open, and weekly visits to Star Garden Gallery remind me that summer is a-coming! The night sky has been brilliant— with the blood moon lunar eclipse and the shimmering milky way— the photos don’t really do it justice, but I am including a few here anyway. And, a recent photo of the pups shows how Tuna is almost a big as Samus! Some cheerful tulips and citrus to cheer us on during some sad days when the news is too much to bear. And, a photo from just now— to bookend the month— the Ramah valley is greening up and the tiny oak tree is full of leaves. Here’s hoping for a jovial June!
