August's End

This month, I am sharing a lot of flower photos, dramatic stormy skies, a glimpse of the eclipse before it was eclipsed by clouds, and the sun rising just a bit later, and setting just a earlier each day— with subtle shifts to the light, as we approach Autumn. The next show that I will have a few paintings in is called, Fall is in the Air, and it does feel that way! I also had a painting accepted for a group show in Albuquerque, and that exhibition will be up during the Balloon Festival in early October. Star Garden Gallery is getting ready for El Morro’s Fall Festival, and my home studio/shed is gearing up for a suite of new paintings. As August came to an end, I learned of the loss of a dear mentor and friend, Frank Herrmann— a painting professor of mine during graduate school at The University of Cincinnati— who welcomed me into the fold of the Herrmann Family’s vibrant and loving living room, with festive meals, and contagious humor! The Herrmann family has made a positive impact on my life in ways both big and small, and I am so grateful to each of them!
